Not All Movie Providers Are Created Equal

There are so many options out there for consumers to watch movies that it has become difficult for each household to assess which one will provide them with the right features and have the right price. You may not have given this much thought previously, but you can make your personal entertainment much more convenient and please every member of your household if you pick the most appropriate option.
If you are a basic movie viewer who only rents one or two movies per month, the most economical system for your needs is renting by the movie at Red Box or another brick and mortar provider. This allows you to avoid adding an additional monthly bill of $10 or $20 that you wouldn’t make the most of in the long run. As new technology develops I’m sure there will be more convenient options for this low frequency movie viewer such as Red Box streaming or a similar cheap alternative.
Subscribing to an independent movie provider such as Netflix is the best option for a consumer who rents 4 or 5 movies per month and is also interested in renting TV shows regularly. Subscriptions for this service are fairly inexpensive, but recent changes have confused customers about what is actually provided. Netflix was rebranded so that this brand name refers to online streaming of movies and shows while the mail renting program was given a separate brand identity. But for many, this change is not critical since the popularity of online rental outweighs the mail-in market.
Another familiar movie provider is Blockbuster. The company was recently purchased by Dish Network and now the two services have combined to offer subscribers a new movie option. The Blockbuster Movie Pass is a promotion that provides movies and video games streamed directly to the customers’ TV or PC. This access is something that no other satellite TV provider has been able to offer before so it will be interesting to see how smoothly the new program will run. Not only do subscribers not have to visit the Blockbuster store, they have one consolidated bill. The Movie Pass is included for 3 or 12 months depending on which package is purchased and after that, the monthly fee is added to the Dish Network bill that is already being paid.
As with all consumer decisions, it is important to do your own research in order to find which alternative best suits the entertainment needs of your household and which will get the most for your money.
