Review Of The Hunger Games Movie

You must be a very big fan of the Hunger Games book if you find yourself reading this Hunger Games review. Or perhaps you might just want to know if the Hunger Games movie is worth watching for in a theatre. I must say that in this review you will not find many criticisms because I don’t want to give too many expectations to the audience. Personally I believe that the tandem between Suzanne Collin’s superb script and Gary Ross’ brilliant direction made way for the first installation of the Hunger Games movie series to arise.
What made a major difference with this movie is the fact that Suzanne Collins was the one who wrote the screenplay for the movie. She is known to be really devoted with her work and has been producing great screenplays ever since. When an author becomes greatly involved in a certain movie, it boosts the chances that the best and most significant scenes from the book will not be removed in the movie. If you have read the book, you will see in the movie that the best moments and conversations are still there. Although it might not be in the same sequence as what is in the book, but the main plot of the story is still clearly stated in the movie.
Another major turning point for this movie which you will know in this Hunger Games review is the selection of the casts. The casting director made a fantastic job in finding the perfect actors and actresses for this movie. Woody Harrelson played as the alcoholic retired victor which is a spot on. Great casting is one of the most important aspects that a movie must have, because in most cases this makes or break the movie. And this movie has this advantage. Of course the main lead of the movie that played the role of Katniss Everdeen is none other than Jennifer Lawrence who is absolutely perfect for the role.
If you are a bit worried of the violence which is portrayed in the games themselves, then you may stop worrying because I found them to be really tamed down than what I expected. Due to the age demographic of the series of the book, it is not a surprise that in some instances there will be violence, but not to a great extent. Others may see this to be discouraging but that is exactly the essence of this, to let you experience fear, loneliness, regret, instinct of survival through a little violence.
In my opinion the movie was made really well and will not disappoint avid fans of the book. The message that the author wants to convey was delivered and portrayed really well. The most important thing about this movie is that morals existed. There are several Hunger Games reviews right now which you can find online that would support my opinion. The succeeding installation for this will surely take everything to a new level of chills and pleasure as we watch the main lead of the movie continue her combat with The Capital.
